A KO at 10.00 following a clock change didn’t appear to create any problems as we kicked off against Wivenhoe Town, who were our first ever opponents as a properly formed team.

It was going to always be challenging against a decent little Wivenhoe team, especially with MA on a warm weather winter training break and HP still with his arm in plaster following a break of his own ( leaving us with the bare minimum ) however it was also a great opportunity to see how far we have come !

As a father and coach I can confidently say that they have indeed travelled well and the journey has been amazing with the boys learning, developing and enjoying themselves every game. Considering we haven’t played for three straight weeks the boys all settled and played some superb football with GD notching his first for the club !! As we had No substitutes all of the boys had to play a full game which at U7’s can be quite demanding physically and mentality ( concentration ). We also rotate the boys through the keepers position so a massive well done for all boys who volunteer and go between the sticks !!

Although unsure how many will be volunteering as the weather starts get colder.

All good fun and Definately think the future is bright...The future is Green
