On Saturday, following their league match against Cops Lions, EBUFC U10’s United had the fantastic opportunity and experience to be match day mascots for Hashtag United #.

After building a very successful personal YouTube channel as Spencer FC ( Spencer CB ) Founded Hashtag United in 2016 and officially joined the football pyramid. The team currently sit top of the Essex Senior League following being promoted from Thurlow Nunn 1 last season as champions.

As a family we have had the pleasure of attending numerous Hashtag matches and have seen SCB’s idea grow and grow. Surrounded by his family in various important roles around Hashtag United we’ve seen firsthand how the club is organised, sustainable and built around the people who matter, The Hashtag family and fans around the world !!!. Some YouTube / twitter clips are watched by thousands if not millions ( bonkers )

Definately the future of football !! And pioneers of using social media to compliment the beautiful game.

The boys were all excited to be involved and were treated to a little training session prior to walking the team out. Encouragement from the Hashtag manager Devs was most welcome and a made a change from myself and Gavin having to rouse the troops during a session.

Some boys got to meet some of the players they have only ever seen on YouTube and a few left with signed boots ! Luckily many of them never clean their boots.

Not only a memorable experience for the boys but a nice chance for a little team building exercise, which is never a bad thing.

Despite the slightly miserable weather we all watched a high tempo and exciting 5-2 win to the Tags.

All boys and parents left happy, especially Hazza who won a brand new Hashtag United away shirt ( unveiled on the day ) in the free raffle !
