Sunday morning gave us some beautiful weather and perfect conditions for a great game of football! East Bergholt met with a strong Stanway Pegasus side, the previous meeting between these two teams was a 9 goal thriller with only 1 goal separating the the teams at full time, today did not disappoint! The teams took the field in the glorious morning sunshine and kicked off, East Bergholt found themselves 1 goal down early on after a strong start from Stanway, this was the wake up call the team needed though with FB bringing the score level soon after and JM getting another goal after some great teamwork. Some great defending from WF and TW kept the score line close and the bumper crowd were anticipating the half time whistle when two more goals came from FB and JM to finish the half! The second half saw changes from both teams and another strongly thought half with Stanway increasing the pressure in search of goals, by the time the final whistle went 8 goals were split equally between both teams! Players from both teams left the pitch with smiles on their faces and congratulated each other, knowing that they had all played great football!

With this being the last game before Christmas the East Bergholt players passed out presents to each other and also received a small gift from team and with this young squad growing and developing so quickly this seemed like a great time for a new team photo! #Greenarmy #Development
