Alfie Owen-Jones is a defender, who has previously played for National League side Braintree Town & local semi pro side Brantham Athletic.
Owen-Jones joined Bergholt midway through the 25/26 season, after coming back from an ACL injury, which he suffered at Brantham.
Owen-Jones joined the club, during a tough period in the goalkeeping department, due to Jamie Scrivener seeing a straight red for the first team against Leiston St Margaret's on the 25th October 2025, which led to a domino effect within the club leaving the A Team short of a goalkeeper. Luckily Owen-Jones stood in for the A Team, as he looked to make a build up to returning to outfield football & his debut (despite in goal), was a debut to remember! Owen-Jones made a number of world class saves & kept a clean sheet, as the A's overcome a Claydon FC Reserve side 2-0 on the 1st November 2025, this saw Claydon FC see their first defeat of the season on this date of the 25/26 campaign.
