East Bergholt United Football Club

A 'mixed' 24/25 season saw us finish third in the top division along with a 1/2 final knockout in the league plate ( knocked out of Cup prelim round by eventual winners ).

Lots of things challenged not only the players but management and the running of the team. The players going through numerous things like growing up, girlfriends, consoles and far more options for their spare time. Along side that we've seen with the introduction of the EJA leagues and players playing additional football sometimes creating commitment issues between clubs.

25/26 sees an important year for all players as they head into 'GCSE' year.....so hopefully football will be a fun outlet and distraction for them. Football shouldn't add any further stress to their life's !!!

This season we are looking at recruiting players who are 100% committed to EBUFC and therefore we welcome some new faces to strengthen an already talented squad. The balances between squad numbers is important to make sure we aren't scraping around for players on fridays nights / playing players who could with with rest and game time !!

We will want every player to continue to apply hard work, commitment and good attitude whilst playing a part in developing as a player in the team. With the continuation of competitive leagues, we will be looking to aim for an improvement on last season's position in the table whiles continuing development, and hope to see this transformed into positive results on the pitch.

Phil Jacobs ( Cops Lions ) will be coming across to see out the final youth season following many years in the opposition dugout.
